Happy Spring. The nice weather has finally come to stay! Unfortunately, the nice weather has not allotted me any free time to blog more. I thought that my schedule would calm down for Spring, but it really hasn't. Oh well...I suppose I will have to get used to blogging once every three weeks.

I'm back! I know that it's been a little while, but I needed the break. March was such a busy month. There was so much to do and so little time to blog:( Hopefully posts will be less irregular for the month of April!

Unfortunately, I have no new outfit posts. It's not that I've been dressing badly...I've just been too lonely to wake up early enough to take pictures before heading off to school. Every morning that I get dressed in an outfit that belongs on the blog, I get soooooo sad that I can't post it. Hopefully soon I will be able to post a new outfit! For Spring vacation I'm going to NYC, believe me, there will be MANY pictures.

Next time I get around to posting, there will be an AMERICAN IDOL STYLE POST. The American Idol style is definitely not the best this year. I'm actually very disappointed. There are a few good outfits though.

"Everything today is Thoroughly Modern"

This weekend I have had the pleasure of playing Ruth in "Thoroughly Modern Millie." The show was a great success and a wonderful experience. To be able to play a character in the 1920's was very fun. I learned how to finger wave my hair, dance at a speakeasy, and dress like a true flapper. I learned to tap dance and to sing in a 1920's style.

The show came at a perfect time. This week, as I posted before, has been rough for many of my friends and classmates. The sudden death of a classmate was a horrific way to start off the week. Thanks to the musical, the pain and heartbreak of the death was alleviated.

To lighten the mood, here are a few pictures taken from the weekend!

AH Sweet Mystery of Life

I'm sorry I have been MIA for this past week or two. Life, especially this past week, has been hectic. My school's musical production is in opening week. Rehearsals have been long and ardous. I didn't even have enough energy to watch American Idol tonight! Also, this past week has been emotionally strenuous with the passing of a class mate. Last week, a wonderful boy, and friend committed suicide. He was a lovely, lovely, lovely young man. Pray/meditate for his soul, PLEASE. His family and friends need your thoughts, prayers, and energies.

What A Wonderful World

My closet, although small, never ceases to surprise me! My closet can really be compared to a bottomless pit. Every time I reach my arm into a new spot, I come out with something new! The other day while trying to find something to wear for a photo shoot, I came across this long forgotten vintage Louis Feraud jacket I acquired from a friend's wealthy aunt. Upon doing some research, based on the tag, I found that the jacket is most likely vintage 1980's or vintage 1990's. Although I would have hoped to find a vintage 50's, 60's, or 70's jacket, I am still thoroughly pleased! The only problem with it is the awkward fit of the sleaves. I want to wear it SO BADLY, but can't really get over the awkward fit of the sleaves :( I'm thinking, I'll just have to suck it up, to wear this wonderful peice of clothing.

Did anyone see "Valentine's Day" or "Dear John"? Unfortunately, I have not been able to see either yet. I did finish reading "Dear John." I was pretty disappointed with the book. The book has been acclaimed by soooo many readers, and yet I found most of it boring? I will say, the last 100 pages really created a puddle of tears in my pillow.

Aren't weekends supposed to be relaxing?!?! Oh how I long for the days when weekends were not overloaded with homework and SAT Prep :( I did manage to do a little shopping this weekend!

Is everyone looking forward to Valentine's Day?! I am eager, but nervous. It's always difficult, at least for me, to buy gifts for my boyfriend, no matter the occasion. Does anyone have any brilliant ideas?! PLEASE let me know. This Valentine's Day I will be spending time with my boyfriend at a convention. woohooo. Is anyone else doing anything special with their significant others or friends?

Summertime

American Idol blog posts may become a regular occurence. Tuesday and Wednesday seem to be the only nights of the week I find myself actually relaxing. The more I think about it, the more I realize that this is how it has been for the past eight years of my life. Since I was eight years old I have been taking Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays off (for an hour or two anyways) to watch American Idol. How crazy does that sound?

I am currently dreaming of summer. No school work, sun, fun, warmth...I can't wait.

My birthday happened recently. One year older has yet to feel any different, but it's still exciting. I had a small get together at my wonderful gelateria musical place of employment with some close friends. This was my birthday outfit:)

Seen Your Face

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! Although there was little snow, there was skiing, eating, present opening, and lots of fun with family and friends. Although going back to school is a little bit of a bore, life is great.

What is everyone's New Year"s Resolution?? *happy 2010 by the way* Does anyone else find it difficult to write 2010 on their papers?? My New Year's Resolution came about after some dramatic happenings after the first of the year. This year I will become a better person. I will be honest, not gossip, focus a little more on grades, spend more time with family and friends that mean the most to me, and be the best girlfriend my boyfriend could ever ask for. It's a loaded resolution, but I am more than determined to make it happen.

I am currently watching the premier of American Idol! I have been a faithfull watcher of American Idol since the first season with Kelly Clarkson. Many of you don't know, but my whole life I have been performing. I am a singer and an actress both as an amateur and professionally. One of my ultimate dreams has been to audition for American Idol. I've never quite gotten there, but this year I am planning on auditioning (that is, if I don't chicken out). Currently, I am having a minor debate within myself. I'm not sure whether I should just go for it and take the risk or rejection or just avoid it altogether. At least I have quite a while to figure it out.

A 5 0'clock wake up time for a last minute physics cram session has left me just enough time to write a quick post before I begin getting ready for the day!

The flapper costume fell through. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to put one together. Instead, I was a hippie. A rather boring costume, but the easiest. All I had to do was open my closet!

Halloween day I was finally able to get my hair done!!

It's sad that Halloweenie is over :( Candy, pumpkins, candy corn...I'm going to miss it.

Yes, this post title is inspired by the over-played, but brilliant, Jason Mraz song...but I just felt it suitable considering how great life has been. I have been Taste of Fashion MIA for a long time, but I am back and better than ever :) This school year has been grand. Everything about is good. I'm challenged, but not overloaded with work. I am constantly surrounded by friends and family. I am immersed daily with fashion and the arts. ...and gelatto, warm apple cider, candy corn, and pumpkin flavored foods are part of my daily diet. With October may come the despised cold weather, but it has to be one of the most fun months of the year. I have gone to a Halloween decorated theme park, apple picking, fall football games, and soon to be Halloween shopping.

This brings me to a, much needed, blogger friend favor. I need YOU, yes YOU to help me out with my Halloween costume. I'm going to be a 20's flapper...but need ideas and advice! So post a helpful comment or send me an e-mail with pictures of ideas. Your advice is greatly appreciated :) I wish I could say the best advice will win you a prize...but that's not true...you will be my new blogger best friend!! (who wouldn't want that!)

Scarves have generally been October's accesory staple. I went into Target this evening on the hunt for moccasins, but came out with brown boots, black flats, and a yellow scarf! Gotta love the scarfs.

School starts in two days. GASP. Yes, two days. The end of summer is always so sad. Suprisingly, I'm not too sad this year. I'm actually quite indifferent. Sure, this summer was fun but nothing too exciting happened. I enjoyed myself, but most of my time was spent working and relaxing. It was a good summer :)

I already have my first day of school outfit planned out. This picture isn't the best because, since I don't have a camera, it was taken on my phone.

Unfortunately, tragedy has struck my household. A family member has passed away from cancer. Therefore; my family will be taking an unwanted vacation to the funeral. I will also be missing the Blink concert :(

But life must go on.

Looklet is soooo much fun. It's so nice to be able to see clothing on a model. It's better than polyvore!!! This is my mood of late.

Having no camera is so sad. I have worn so many outfits I've wanted to show you all, but can't because I have no way of documenting them!went shopping yesterday. I've loaded up on the same laid back, casual, pants in shades of green, tan, grey, khacki...they are so comfortable. I also bought a long tye dye peasant skirt, a plaid shirt/dress, purple tights, grey tights, an orange embroidered tank dress, a flowery lace lingerie inspired dress, headbands, and a suede fringed vest. It was a successful trip.

The Ingrid Michaelson concert was amazing to say the least. Can it be possible that a singer sounds better live than on record?? Not only does Ingrid have an engaging stage presence, but a crystal clear, spot on, beautiful voice. Her backup singer/guitar player was extremely talented as well. My friend and I thouroughly enjoyed the concert. We were thrilled when we received autographs and hugs from Ingrid after the show. My favorite song from the set was "Maybe" from her new album. Check it out!!

Last week I was lucky enough to go to two concerts! Towards the end of the week I went to a Cute Is What We Aim For Concert. Although my expectations for the show weren't very high, Cute Is What We Aim For played an awesome show. AND raised a ton of money for a local theatre's restorations. Shant, the lead singer, has a suprisingly good voice...and enduring stamina. His acoustic performance of Lyrical Lies was really quite lovely. But my ultimate favorite of the night was an energetic performance of Hollywood. PERFECT.

Breakable

WOOOHOOOOO! Yesterday was pretty much the best day of my summer. All weekend I had been calling in, faithfully, at every hour to a local radio station in hopes of winning passes to a private Ingrid Michaelson concert at a local restaurant. After losing at least eight times, I finally hit the jackpot :) I won! I was heard on the station blubbering and screaming. It was quite embarassing to listen to. I cannot contain my excitement though. My friend and I have been loyal fans of Ingrid Michaelson for a very long time and we adore her music. If you have been a faithful reader to my blog, you would know this considering the two videos I uploaded of my friend and I singing two of the songs she often performs, "The Chain," and "You and I." The concert is on Wednesday and I CANNOT WAIT. I'm sure there will be an outfit post for the night since I will remind my friend a million trillion times to bring her camera. Who would pass up a photo opportunity with Ingrid?!

Lots of athletics this week have left me sore and sunburned :( I know this is no excuse, but I haven't really felt up to the challenge of dressing up. All I've worn the past two days is shorts/sweats/tees. BORING, I know. Luckily today will be my last day of field hockey camp!!!!!!! Quite the celebration.

Remember The Time

I recently returned from a wonderful trip with chorus to New Orleans, the "Big Easy." The trip, which I expected to be a bore, was a grand success. Not only did I enjoy trips to Bubba Gumps Shrimp Company Restaurant, the Insectatarium, the Bayou (wild alligators were an arm's length away), shopping at the French Market, walking along the beautiful antique streets, and beignets with cafe au lait for brekke, but friendships were created that will last a lifetime. In addition to all of these lovely things, I was granted the opportunity to sing in a beautiful cathedral (the oldest cathedral in the United States), in a concert directed by the prestigious Bob Chilcott of Britain. He was an inspiration. Fortunately the song my choir toured with was a song called, "No More Silence," in which I sing a soulful chesty solo that I adore. I was honored to be able to sing in front of Mr. Chilcott.

The Rock Show

I am thrilled to announce that I have just bought tickets to two events! This upcoming Friday I'll be going to Taste of Country starring many of country music's best singers. Then, later in August, I will be attending the Blink 182 concert. Ahhhh life is wonderful!

The Man Who Can't Be Moved

Don't skimp on reading this! Please read it!
Today I came to the realization that life is wonderful. Life is truely wonderful. After a night of utter moping, I came to this realization. Who cares if the guy you like doesn't share the same feeling? Who cares if your friends bicker? Who cares if you have a shitload of homework to do? Who cares if your parents are bothering you? Who cares if your little brother is annoying you? The key to being happy is finding the happy balance between caring and not caring. I'm choosing not to care, but not in an ignorant way. None of it matters. I have a family that loves me even if they don't show it, I have a nice house, I have nice clothes, I have friends that I adore, I have suitable grades, I try my hardest, I volunteer, I work hard, I love all of my guys, I love music, I love my jobs, I love life. Life is good. Have a good cry every once in a while, but then dry your eyes and move on. Life will soon be better. Everything happens for the reason.
And everyone out there had better read "The Secret." It will change your life. It sure has changed mine. Tomorrow will be wonderful wherever you are.

ANYWAYS. I'm currently, right at this second, listening to some John Mayer...BUT...I was just listening to "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" by the Script. Listen, the lead's voice is so smooth, good stuff.

Next weekend, for my friend's birthday, a bunch of people are going out to dinner. Very excited...I sooooo wish I could wear this.

Bottle It Up

This weekend has been fun I suppose. I managed to have an enjoyable time even when suffering through bouts of jealousy over the fun time my best friend was having shopping in Downtown Boston...ugh... I managed to have fun with friends still here. I went shopping on Friday...bought a new pair of black sandals with some fringe, some new cutoff jean shorts, a racerback flowy tank, a new headband...all in all a successfull shopping trip. Then had a good time at a pool party held at a friend's house, which was a nice taste of summer. Last night, went to an event with performances by several talented DJ's and Karl Wolf. Good weekend :D

And I am feeling 100% better...thank you to all for the nice comments.

My school has a chorus concert coming up. The black dresses are classy, but not really flattering. I would adore a concert dress like this :)

Hey everyone!

Posting has been so difficult lately due to AP exam studying and lots and lots of homework. This year has definitely been a rough one. I cannot wait until the summer. Hopefully I'll last through the rest of this year. Summer is my only drive for working hard. Tomorrow is my AP English Language and Composition exam. Wish me luck, I sure need it. Especially after the beginning of this week. I was home sick yesterday with a 104 fever, chills, sore throat, headache, and achy bones :( Same for today... tomorrow morning's exam should be lots of fun :) haha

This Magic Moment

I am exhausted. This weekend, of yet, has been fun-filled but busy. Of course, there hasn't been much time for sleep. This morning into the evening I participated in a choral festival. Then, went to a dance. Very fun night. Exhausting though. I sure did get a good work out !

No need to worry, I do not usually wear green floral mini skirts with black and white leopard leggings...Wacky Wednesday at my school is pretty much the only day I dress in this wild way. The outfit was too cute not to post!

I finally watched "Slumdog Millionaire." Every aspect of the movie was amazing. Well done to all involved. Disturbing, heartwarming, strong.

I hope everyone is having an enjoyable vacation!! I sure have. Hanging with friends and catching up on my very tall magazine stack has been a nice break from school. Unfortunately, some exam studying and project doing will have to be done this week :( Going to a beach for vacation (like many of my friends) would be nice...but oh well. Complaining never got anyone anywhere ;)

I finished watching a documentary/slightly exaggerated, but still pretty loyal to the truth/film, "The Road to Guantanamo." WATCH IT. Even if you feel you have no interest in the subject matter, watch it. As one of the Tipton Three says it himself, "the world is not a nice place."

I've been quite the little history buff lately. While searching for information to write an essay on the Cold War, I stumbled across pictures of The Berlin Wall. I really liked these pictures, for what they stand for, and for their power.

Inspiration can be found everywhere. I can fill an entire sheet of paper with names of people who have inspired me, of people who never cease to inspire me. A new name was added to the list today. Today, a girl in my chorus class inspired me. Her personality is goofy, funny, but kind-hearted. Today, the front of her shirt read, "Hey," diagonally across the front and on the back it stated, "Ask me why I'm hungry." Naturally, I asked her why she's hungry. Her reply was, "I am not eating anything for 30 hours, and restricting myself to a diet of water to raise awareness on starvation in Africa." That just made my day :)

Sorry that these picture are so late! I know the weather is a tad warm for winter coat pictures, but these were never posted and I adore this coat.

I Told You So

This is such a stressful time of year. April may bring Spring upon us, but it brings the stress of AP exams, AP exams, AP exams, and my senior inquiry project. Even though I am not a senior, I'm in a senior english class. Therefore, I have to do a senior inquiry project. Mine is to record a CD and sell it for charity. My charity of choice is The American Cancer Society. THE PROJECT IS CAUSING SO MUCH STRESS I THINK I'M GOING CRAZY. It is ten times more difficult than I ever imagined. The exam for this class will, no doubt, be ten times more difficult than I ever imagined. sdflaadghjio fasdfa jh!

Posting has been so difficult lately! Busy schedules can be such a pain... I am only able to blog today because I am currently in my school's computer lab, secretly typing this up. Hopefully as the summer approaches posting and blogging will be much easier to do! My busy schedule has also created a stack of magazines in my room, I have yet to read. I just finished an issue of Elle from last month...or maybe the month before that...(I'm not really sure.) Next up, last month's NYLON...I think!

No outfit post today :( I cannot access my photos from my computer at home with this computer. Hopefully soon. I really like my outfit today! I'm wearing a darker wash skinny ankle jean, a basic GAP long sleeve, with a Plenty by Tracy Reese blousy bubble top over it. I scrunched my hair last night so it is wavy and messy, with a gold headband. Very seventies look. What did y'all wear today?

Last night was opening night of a production of "Seussical The Musical" I am in as a Who from Whoville. I had low expectations for this show, but it has far surpassed any preconceived notions I had. Not only is the show cute and age appropriate for little tots to grandparents...but the story is heart warming.

I was just listening to "It Ain't Me Babe." Which reminds me of "Walk the Line." In my opinion, one of the best movies I have seen. Joaqin Phoenix awesome.

Happy belated Valentine's Day to all! I hope everyone's day was great! And for all of you single ladies...and gentlemen, I hope you spent time loving all the other people in your lives instead of moping in your single sadness.

I know my Valentine's Day sure was fun! I was able to spend time with friends, family, and the boyfriend :)

I've worn this dress a couple of times. This was for dinner with the family. Brown isn't really my favorite color, but I really enjoy wearing this dress. The gold/blue/brown/gold jewel and sequin detail on the collar is gorgeous.

I adore Anne Hathaway. She has timeless beautiful style. Some people may critique her as a boring non-risktaking dresser, but I think she dresses with elegance. Not only does she dress well, but she is always so well put together, and naturally beautiful. She has come a long way since her "Princess Diaries" days (which still happens to be one of my favorite movies.) As an aspiring actress, her decisions in her acting career are greatly admired.

Untouched

I just finished a lovely book. It's called, "Looking for Mary Gabriel", written by Carole Lawrence. This past year I haven't been able to read much because of a busy schedule, but I'm finally starting to pick up some books again. This was a beautiful book to start with. It tells the story of a woman and her struggles living her life because of a difficult, sad, violent childhood. The novel focuses on two sisters as they move from their troubling past. The novel is written well, and I enjoyed every chapter.

I finally had time to see a movie. I chose to see "Milk." I knew the story of Mr. Harvey Milk, and the topic interests me. I know I say this about every movie, but this movie is a must-see. Watching Harvey Milk's struggles, but successes in becoming the first openly gay man elected into office, was nothing but inspirational. In his speeches hope could be found for everyone. Not only did Harvey Milk speak for the gay population of our country, but also for the blacks, asians, and the Muslims. I was very emotionally moved by this, and often found myself teary eyed during the movie. Sean Penn gives a delightful performance as Harvey Milk. If you have not seen this movie yet, GO SEE IT.

No Day But Today

Last night I went to see Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp in Rent! This was my first time seeing the show, I had only listened to the soundtrack and watched the movie before. I adore the movie, and was skeptical that the show could be better than the movie cast, but the show was so much better. The singing, dancing, acting was all done so very well. I had seats close enough that I could see every emotion on each of the actors' faces. Nothing in the world can beat the feeling live theatre creates and emotes.

These veggie-dyed bracelets are by Calleen Cordero. I think they are so beautiful.

I can see myself sporting a whole wristful of these bracelets with eccentric charms, from Mercedes Sakizar.

I have to see this movie. I am currently in a play with a woman that was born and raised in India. She came to the States as an adult, but has such a passion for India and misses it dearly. She recently went to see Slumdog Millionaire and came back with rave reviews on what a beautiful poignant movie it is. It is the story of an 18-year-old boy from the slums of Mumbai who will change his destiny and find love. My cast mate told me, I must see the movie, just to see the spectacular breathtaking scenery of the Indian backdrop. Here is the trailer.

I hope everyone's New Year is going smoothly so far! Mine sure is, things are looking up :) My New Year's Resolution is looking on the brightside and just working hard for all I want and need.

I was worried about this blazer, it's not quite heavy enough to be a coat in cold weather, but too warm to wear a coat over it :/ Luckily, I've had some good fortune with weather and have had quite a bit outfits of it!

This Zimmerman bathingsuit would be nice... ahhh summer :( so far away.

I was reading NYLON and saw a scarf that I thought was lovely. The designer is Isabela Capeto. I knew nothing of the designer, so I looked up previous collections. It was love at first sight. The clothes, makeup, hair, accessories, and runway shows are great. Everything is something easily wearable, and something I can see myself in.

Ahhhhhh how lovely.

Has anyone seen Revolutionary Road?? It has Kate Winslet and Leo in it, that's why I would see it. The first time they are in a movie together since "Titanic." Complete with steamy love scenes and all, but her hubby directs it...I wonder if that's awkward? Have a good week y'all :)

Ughhhhhhhh I've never said this before, but I totally regret going to the mall tonight. No good clothes came out of the shopping trip and I had a mediocre greasy fattening meal at Fridays. Oh and my best friend and I aren't talking to eachother! It was bad, but last night I did have a successful shopping trip! All my purchases from Forever 21. I'm wondering what everyone elses' forever 21's look like. We just got a new one installed in our mall. It's ginormous and it's two stories!!! It's made up of around ten rooms, each room has it's own style/personality/decorating. It's pretty freaking amazing. I bought a shirt and some silver rings. I also bought a pair of leggings that look like pants, but they are too small :(

The Amber boot by Jessica Simpson that I got in tan for Christmas were featured in NYLON!! I was catching up on my last issue of NYLON, and they were in there! haha. I always think it's cool when I see something I own featured in a magazine.

This is the new blazer I bought at Macy's the other day with my friend!

1. The Judy skirt by Julie Haus. Throwing on a nice substantial skirt in the winter is such an easy outfit. All you need is the skirt and a pair of black tights. This looks so warm, and I love the slouchy pockets.

2. The Jacquard ALine Dress by Tibi. Metallics are always great for the holiday season. This one is nice because it isn't the usual silver/gold holiday color scheme.

3. LBD the Jacson dress by Leyendecker.

4. Lovely dress. Reminds me of a refined court jester. It's the Block dress by leyendecker in magritte.

5. I like this LBD, but I don't think it would fit me very well.

6. There's not much you can say about this. Long Sleeve V-Neck James Perse.

7. I'm a little iffy on this one. I really like the style dress, but I don't know about the metallic...

8. I might just die for this. The Poiret from James Jeans.

9. The marriner coat from James Jeans. The color is gorgeous, and the buttons are so nice. I wish I could get my mother into a coat like this.

So the other day I stayed home from school because I was sick. I flipped through some channels and decided to watch a movie, "Children of Men." I wasn't expecting much, but the movie was RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. Basically, the world has gone to peices. There is crime, fighting, death, starvation, everything bad that you can imagine is happening all over. Also, infertility has taken over the women, meaning the extinction of the human race. Until, Theo, the main character, helps a young girl, Kee, escape to safety because she is pregnant. The movie is very well made, the script fantastic, and the filming done very well. At one point, during a battle scene, blood from a gun shot is sprayed up and onto the camera lens. This isn't something I have ever seen done in a movie before, and it really felt scarily real. I highly reccomend this movie.

Ughhh many bloggers are complaining about how their town's/city's have NO SNOW!!! I just want to inform everyone that SNOW IS NOT THAT GREAT! Okay, so sure it can be gorgeous dusting the treetops or the floor all in white. But, the cold, wet, gross, shoe ruining, pant leg ruining, freezing, slippery mess that comes with it is nothing but, well a mess. Ahhh, but I will sympathize with y'all, and just stick with it's pretty appearance.

I'm loving the holidays, but hating the snow. Christmas is my favorite time of year. It brings the holiday, but my birthday as well! The only part I hate about it is the snow. Snow absolutly disgusts me. At a weak moment, I may admit for a second that it may actually look pretty dusting the ground or covering the trees, making everything an angelic white. But, when the snow freezes and makes me slip and fall in front of many people (happened numerous times) or when it ruins my shoes, or just makes me freeze I highly dislike it. Actually I might HATE it. The holidays make up for the snow though! Has everyone done their holiday shopping?? I'm almost finished, just a couple more things to buy. I am also having a small holiday party with six friends hosted at my house. Does anyone have any great holiday ideas? It would be a ton of help! I'm a sucker for any black dress. Adding different kinds of black dresses to my collection makes me so happy! I bought this one at Forever 21. I adore the layers.

I was thankful for these shoes for a charity event for American Cancer Society where a friend and I sang "For Good" from Wicked for the luncheon's entertainment. They are currently my favorite shoes. I also bought these at Forever 21.

For a winter concert I'm singing Katherine McPhee's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as a solo. My friend who is accompanying me on guitar recently told me that Katherine McPhee is married to a forty year old?? I was suprised and looked up the wedding photos. I wish I could find a better picture of the dress, but I couldn't find any on-line. It is gorgeous, she always looks stunning, but especially at her wedding. This would be a lovely wedding.

Anything Goes

The CMA'S this year had wonderful performances. But, looking at pictures of the night I wasn't too impressed. For the most part, all I saw were a bunch of ladies in prom dresses and cowboy boots. Cowboy boots are understood, but I think we've outgrown the prom dresses ladies. The women who were not wearing the prom dresses really did stand out, in a very good way!

Some highlights, and not so highlights of the night.

I can't decide on these ones...

For Reese's outfit I'm leaning towards the NO. But, it was better than the PROM DRESS THEORY.

Ahhhh I like these. Even if boring.

Overall, the night was interesting.

Sooo after many, many months of avoiding the cliche Twilight series...I gave in. And I am so happy I did! I am in love with the books. I am only slightly ashamed to say I am now a complete Cullen obsessive. As well as Jacob. (Shark boy has grown up!) I have not seen the movie yet, but have read both Twilight and the second book!!! They are quick and easy reads. Sooo worth it. I had my first Edward dream last night. Although, it was interesting to analyze the author's writing. It's not exactly top notch, but her ideas and stories are fascinating.

Hey everyone,
it has been so long since I last wrote!!! I'm so sorry :( I miss blogging you so much! I've just been really busy I guess.

I don't even know where to start so many things have caught my eye lately. Oh and a new taste in music. Country <3 I don't know how it started, but I can't get enough of it (hence the post title, "Just Started Lovin' You" by James Otto.")

I went on a trip this weekend and bought the new issue of Elle for the ride. Nicole Kidman looks stunning as always. The green color complements her skin and hair so nicely. She looks beautiful. The dress by Carolina Herrara is to die for.

Boy With A Coin

My camera has finally been fixed!!!!! I am so happy! Taking pictures with a cell phone is noooo fun at all. I have been a very unfaithful blogger lately, hopefully that will change!

This is an old outfit post, that I just never got around to posting. I like the tiara. I wore it when I was a flower girl in a wedding a long time ago. I think it's gorgeous. The jeweles and flowers are all in pastels and frosted. I added it to this outfit, just because... haha I don't really know.

The black beaded "thing" around my neck is a belt. It was extremely scratchy, but hey, beauty is pain, pain is beauty.

Has anyone here ever heard of the song "Boy With A Coin." If you have, you are promoted to best friend level. It's by Iron and Wine. This group was brought to my attention while at a friend's cottage on a beautiful lake. Every night was spent chilling on the water, or by a fire. And two of the coolest people I've ever met would play guitar, and sing. Luckily, we all had the same music taste. The music vid for this song is amazing. You must watch it. If you like dance, or cultural dance, it's a must see. (and a must hear.)

Anna Sui's show was colorful, and flowery. I loved the bright colors! There were also a few all black outfits that I found nice as well. The model's were all so gorgeous. What I really noticed was how beautiful every single model was. If I had to pick the models for my own show, these would be the models I would choose.

Very pretty colors. Blue and green always look so good on blonde girls... I am jealous. It looks like something I would wear.

The Alexandre Herchcovitch show was... well pink.

(He's the one with the tats if anyone was wondering)

I fell in love with this dress when I saw it. I really like the style of it and the collar. I think the African American model looks beautiful in it. The color is flattering.

I like the shape of this, if it was in a darker color (maybe a navy blue) I could see Chloe Sevigney rocking it out.

Look at this model's cheek bones! And I like the shorts (?) underneath the top. The shoes are lovely as well.

This flowered pattern was recurring throughout the show. I think it's beautiful. I really like the mix of materials in this dress.

This was one of my favorite looks in the show. The mix of colors and swishes and swirlys looks like bunch of puzzle peices to me. It looks Asian inspired. It is gorgeous.

Very interesting. I like the mix of the sheen with the khaki look.

I love the shape of the pants, but what is in the crotch??? Could someone please help me see or understand this?!

I could see Mischa Barton rocking these out as separates. Or a riskier Mischa that is.

This was my favorite look from the show. The dress was gorgeous. The pattern was brilliant. The show wasn't my favorite in general, but some of the peices were absolutly stunning. The color scheme was fresh and wearable.

This man is brilliant.

I haven't been through all the collections for Spring '09 quite yet, but so far this has been one of my favorites. His collection featured many sporty separates. And as always embodied the downtown hipster cool kid spirit. The cropped shirts were styled perfectly.

I wish I were this cool.

AHHHH this is awesome. And look at that bag.

While watching the video of the show, this sweater stuck out to me. I really like this look. I can see myself in it. I could imagine Taylor Momsen taking a photo shoot in it.

This model is stunning. Here is one of the cropped shirts of the collection. I like it, mainly because it reminds me of Batman :)

Beautiful black and white assymetrical dress. For Ashley Olson?

I can't get over how sexy this collection is. There are little peeps of skin peeping out everywhere. I like that the side cut outs in this dress.

The open shoulder sleeves are cool. This outfit, as a whole, doesn't really mix in with the others, but I guess I'm not him and his mind works in brilliant ways, sooo this must be brilliant too!

Favorite outfit of the show. I love the colors, and the tank!! Seeing this collection makes me want to go take some scissors to all my shirts. I see Jerell from Project Runway in this cut off tank.

The color mix of the grey with the purply pink is sporty, but feminine. Very pretty result. The side cut outs are nice.

Once again, the light pink color pops up.

This was one of my favorite looks from the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. I love the black and white geometric skirt.

Another one of my favorite looks from the show. This whole ensemble is just gorgeous. I can't wait for a celebrity to show up to an event wearing this.

This was my absolute most favorite dress in the show. I want it so badly. The belt...very creative. I like :)

I like the mix of materials and patterns here. The hair and makeup stood out to me in this picture. Ayako from NARS did a really good job on the makeup.

Can't you just see Mary Kate Olson in this shirt? The shoes in this ensemble are so pretty. I would love them in a blush pink color or black.

I like the slouchy feel in some of the outfits in this show. I think Phillip Lim has become an expert on perfecting that look.

The creme dress underneath the blazer looks beautiful. I am not a huge fan of the color of the blazer.

I hope school is going well for everyone! My first day of school outfit consisted of a tye-dyed green/blue halter bubble hem dress with a pair of black gladiators and lots of hippie jewelry. I was suprised at the amount of compliments I received on the dress! All my classes are so difficult though. And the amount of heat in the building is overwhelming!

I love the color of this dress on Eva Longoria. The shape suits her shape very well. I'm not a fan of her hair style, but it suits her dress. I think Eva accessorized very well.

Personally, I adore this dress. I really think it would be a flattering fit. I think Famke janssen looks great in this dress. The color of the dress is really "in for the season" not to sound cliche or anything. I tried on a dress the other day in this color at Forever 21 and it is really flattering.

A dress of the same type of color, but on Jennifer Lopez. Who is a completely different style and shape than Famke Janssen. I really think it flatters her though.

Sorry everyone for the very delayed posts. I know I used to post once a week, I've just been so busy lately with school. The homework level has been atrocious, especially in English.

Can Rhianna truly be broke?? In this dress, she certainly fools me. Many people would probably criticize Rhianna for wearing this dress. I think it's beautiful. I love the shape and color of it.

Mrs. Beckham has a hit and miss style, in my opinion. Truthfully the dress on the runway looks so much more sophisticated than when Victoria wears it with her boobs pushed up almost to her chin. I really like the dress too, pity that she wore it a little too showy for my taste. In the second picture she's wearing a very womanly blazer...and I love it. And she's still looking gorgeous!

You Can Tune a Piano, But You Can't Tune A Fish

"If you say anything now, I'll believe it." One lazy summer day about a week ago I rented the movie, "Out of Africa." The movie was came out in 1985. The movie shows the life of Karen Blixen and is based on her novel. It shows her move to Africa, the failure of her coffee crop, true love, befriending of the Natives, and heartbreak. The movie is beautifully made. And the setting is breathtakingly beautiful. Meryl Streep and Robert Redford star in this movie. Meryl Streep is striking and her performance is powerful. "Out of Africa" shows the strength women possess. In many ways she reminds me of Keira Knightley in this movie. I can see Keira playing Karen Blixen if this movie would have been remade this year. Which of course it wouldn't and hopefully won't ever be. Not only does Meryl Streep look like Keira, but the way she walks, talks, and carries herself are very similar. The clothing featured on Meryl Streep in this movie is stunning.

To end this post, the lovely Chanel. She's not my favorite model, but I love this dress.

Out Of Our Heads

Over the past weekend my camera broke :( So, don't expect any pictures or outfit posts for a long while. Until then I will try to keep updating the blog with some other not so interesting stuff. Haha that sounds like a good way to keep my readers reading.

Is anyone here a tad bit tired of celebrities standing almost nude in their barely there swimsuits on the beach? I sure am. I found myself actually liking Vanessa Hudgens in her swimsuit and Kristin in hers. Quite suprising. I especially like Kristen's. The flower behind Vanessa's hair is darling.

I love Taylor Momsen's dress in this photo. She looks soo hip in her sunglasses. Her shoes are a nice, simple addition to her dress. Although if it had been me my shoes would probably have been black. Not that it makes all that much of a difference. She is so skinny. I really like this girl and hope Hollywood doesn't get to her too much. She should have a successful acting and modeling career!

Yay Audrina! Finally, I find an outfit of hers that I draw at least a bit of inspiration from. The skirt is really bold which isn't something she would normally wear. I love it :)

I found this photo of Maria Bello at one of the Mummy premiers. I think she is gorgeous here. Her makeup looks great. The flower is a great accent to the outfit. The dress is gorgeous.

Shut Up And Let Me Go

BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT. By far the best movie I have seen this year. It has now taken the spot of Newsies and Batman 1 and has became my new favorite movie. I have to admit though the Joker... (Heath Ledger) really stood out. He completely made the movie I think. Don't get me wrong...Christian you were great as always. I give this movie a ten out of ten stars :)

The shirt I made with some puffy paints. On the back are my favorite Christian Bale quotes. I wore the shirt with my black tights from Target, my black converse, a yellow engagement ring from Christian (haha I wish), and a black and yellow headband in my hair. Yes I am obsessed.

Moving on...haha

Last week I went through this stage of every day dressing up according to what i would declare that day. Monday = CHEESY HIPPIE DAY. hooray !!!

Lastly, a lil while ago I saw We The Kings in a mini concert. They played three great songs. I was suprised that Travis Clarke has an awesome sense of style. And really great red hair. There are a lot of bands now that can't sing live, but We The Kings did very well.

The Way I Am

I was a little weary picking up the copy of Elle magazine at a local grocery store when I saw Mariah Carey's figure gracing the cover. She looked really good, and her voice is probably one of the best in the world, but her fashion sense is not something I find inspiration from. I was suprised to find that I really liked the interview Elle had with Ms. Carey. I also was suprised to find that I really liked the photo shoot. The magazine kept me entertained for the whole week long vacation. I didn't even need the other two magazines I brought with me (Lucky and NYLON.) I haven't started the new NYLON yet, but Mischa Barton Exposed quite caught my eye, not in the best way. What I loved about the August issue of Elle is the fashion spread, "Suit Up". I was enthralled with this fashion spread. I loved every single picture of it.

These two pages are my favorite of the spread. I love the blazer with the Karen Walker skirt. I need to get a studded belt! This is a great outfit for me to wear to school... and just look at the hair and makeup! Need I gush more? The checkered Armani Jacket is brilliant.

The white gloves on the picture to the left remind me that I am looking for a pair of gloves, like that, but black.

Ahhahhhahhh those gloves would be PERFECT!!!! The picture to the left is my second favorite outfit of the spread...it easily can be worn at my school...

I like the other gloves better, but these would work. Both gloves are from Carolina amato. I guess, according to this fashion spread, I need to be buying a nice fitted blazer soon!

Christian Bale Arrested?! *this is not a song title!

I have been on a lovely vacation all week, and have not been able to go see BATMAN! It causes me great pain to say that I'm busy for a long time, and will not be able to see it for a while. So, if anyone has seen it and will write a review on it, I will post everyone's comments on the movie. Hopefully, every Christian Bale fan knows that he was arrested for "assaulting his mother and his sister." He was released free of charge, but is that just because of his upper rank in Hollywood's leading men? Of course, I think he is completely innocent, but that's coming from Christian Bale's #1 fan ;)

Pictures I took that ended up looking sort of nice. The last one is my tat :) (fake of course) No needles needed, only a sharpie!

I was looking at picitures of some of the fall 2008 runway shows, and the makeup the designers chose to use. I found a few of the shows used a lot of black mascara. What I found interesting was the placement of the product (with false eyelashes).

Marchesa Fall 2008 makeup focused on extreme upper lashes. I love the shape of the false eyelashes. My eyelashes are very short, I'm thinking of picking up some tips from this makeup look. If anyone would like to try this look on them and sends me a picture of it to eabeauc@myway.com I will put it in the next post. Charlotte Ronson took a similar course. In her makeup look I love her softer pink lips with the black mascara on the bottom lashes. I've never been a fan of mascara on my bottom lashes because it rubs off and can prove to be messy sometimes. Ahhh so how was everyone's Fourth of July? Mine was great. I spent time with family and participated in the normal activities one would find on this holiday. Overall I've had a pretty relaxing, nice week. And I've gotten a tan :)

Today at a rehearsal though, a girl was talking about how she got sick from too much sun. She went to the doctor and they told her she's one step away from skin cancer. Soooo that serves as a reminder to EVERYONE to WEAR YOUR PROTECTIVE SUNSCREEN!!!! Tanning is great, but don't go all bare.

Oooh and I also gained a bunch of cheap, sick jewelry at a fair :) Pictures to come though, I'm too lazy to put them up today!

I'm finding that the monokini is a really flattering bathing suit. On people of all sizes that I've seen wearing this type of suit, it looks pretty good on everyone. I just bought one myself and will don it on vacation!

I'm Not That Girl

Sooooo... this week was a doosey. A little way too dramatic for my taste. Ugh. There was good though! Like having a lemonade stand (haha), seeing Wicked, biking out to lunch, a very successful (in my mind) callback audition. Then there was the bad, which we won't even get into!

I never ever in my life expected myself to enjoy Wicked. I didn't even buy a ticket myself. I was invited last minute by a friend and decided to go, but wasn't expecting anything great. I usually can't stand over popular cliche musicals...this wasn't the case for "Wicked." Wicked was great! I loved every second of it. It made me laugh and cry. It was great. I completely recommend it.

So the outfits this week...none too inspiring. Sorry bloggers :( There's some pretty flowers though!

Biking for sushi was fun. It was my first sushi experience. It's a taste that needs some familiarizing, but overall was pretty good. Except for burning my mouth and nose on wasabi :(

Sentimental Heart

I just want to start by saying Zooey Deschanel has one of the most beautiful, old-fashioned, rich, jazzy voices I have ever heard. She is sooo not given enough credit for her acting and singing. Ahhh... listen to her. She's great :)

Now that summer is here, my friends and I are blessed with the ability to walk where we want :) Of course that means dressing accordingly to the weather. I have such a problem doing this. I have no idea why. So the other day I decided to wear this outfit when it was scorching hot outside. What is wrong with me?

Of course my long walk to coffee was sweltering hot.
That's def something I need to work on.

An influx of jobs starting in July will lead me to a lil extra spending money. I've had my eyes on the dress for a month now. It's a yellow eyelet dress by Kimchi and Blue that I found in Urban Outfitters while shopping with friends. I tried it on sort of as a joke because it wasn't me at all, but found that I loved the dress. I am in love with this dress. It fits well, it's comfortable, and is soooo cute on.

So the other day while at my friends house her mum had a couple of dresses that she no longer had any use for. I was immediatly drawn to this one which was exactly my type of dress. BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK. and an added plus it had a lil bit of silver sparkle to it. Of course it had to be extremely long on me and it had shoulder pads. So... I did a bit of work on it. Which means ripping out the shoulder pads and hemming the dress. Now it's more of a shirt, but can be worn with leggings... too short for tights though.

Chasing Pavements

Ahh so two exams down, two left to go! I'm done for this week though :) What a relief. With soooo much pressure of exams I have not dressed very well these past two days. So I have just one outfit post of a completely uninspiring outfit. It's actually rather unflattering and ugly, but hey what can I say... sitting in an uncomfortable chair in a hott stuffy setting for three hours does not really scream high fashion... the whole thought of exams just sucks the fun of dressing up for me...I hit the mall after the exam and I didn't even dress well. UGH.

Well here it is the outfit from yesterday's math exam. grr.

Ahh so something else interesting... I was looking through my NYLON mag and found a quote from We Are Scientists that mentioned Christian Bale... who is my FAVORITE person alive...

The movie "Batman the Dark Knight" is coming out this summer! I'm preordering my tix for five shows in a row :))))) Obsessed? YES.

Anyways soooo I bought cute orange wedges today at Charlotte Rouse for $10...(i know everyone hates wedges) but I needed a nice pair of cute wedges I think...and they were soooo cheap I bought them! And I really love them. They don't even hurt my blister on my toe from wearing heels so much. And I bought lotion, lip gloss (it smells and tastes like maple sugar), and shampoo from bath and body works (HUGEEEE SALE), and some bright, bright, bright neon pink nail varnish.

Ehh rainy days make for colorful polyvores :)

Emmy Rossum is such a role model for me. Ever since I heard her beautiful voice in "Phantom of The Opera" and have watched her in movies like "Poseidon" with the hott guy from "Sweet Home Alabama" in it, I have loved her and admired her. She is so talented at such a young age, not to mention her beauty.

Another reason I love Emmy is her style. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of trashy celebrity role models for young girls. Honestly, it can get sort of ridiculous. Thank you to celebrity's that dress for girls of all ages to look up too :) I mean sure Paris and Nicole look great, and it's great to feel sexy, but sometimes I wonder...

So thank you Emmy Rossum for keeping us grounded :)

"Rent Fanatic" - gren v-neck bubble dress, black leggings, colored graffiti converse

"Irish Beauty" - blue v-neck criss crossed bust blue sheen dress, gray leggings, silver flip flops, white heaband, medallion necklaces

"Girl With Great BF" - silver glitter ballet flats (which i despise but since her dress was so cute it cancels out the shoes), gray sweetheart line dress (dark grey on bottom, lighter on top) with rhinestones dangling from center (sounds weird but really pretty)

"Lil Miss Conservative" - bright blue skinnies, blue/green flowered tank, plaid sneakers

"My future hairstylist (guy)" - black skinnies, silver stud belt, bblack/white vans, black/white striped tee with colored lightning bolts randomly scattered all over, colored dog tag necklace.

Ahhh exam week in our unconditioned school is basically torture. Well, we are still in review, but it's still torture, possibly even worse than exam week. It's a beautiful day outside and we are stuck in a stuffy, hot, classroom with a million other sweaty bodies listening to review, after review, after review... not exactly fun. Then you come home and study some more... ugh. I can't wait until this torture is over...to make time go by a little bit faster listen to some great songs!

Here are my suggestions:

All great songs... two from "Juno" soundtrack which is brilliant. Kimya Dawson is brilliant. And metrostation is good too :)

Sooo today's outfit very colorful... bright green/white printed flower mini skirt with a lil flounce at the bottom from Old Navy, bright blue v-neck tee that I borrowed from Jasmine (I don't plan on returning it), boring earings (too lazy to change them), different kind of prints bangles(three green ones that my Uncle brought back from travels to I think Africa?), green mini beaded necklace wrapped around neck three times, and black converse. So the whole outfit sorta has a lil kid feel about it besides the converse...kind of a cool contrast if you think about it!

Our First Photo Shoot

Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny, hot day! It was a perfect day for our first photo shoot! It was awesome... and very, very, very warm. Haha then there was the camera incident when Jasmine Katarina dropped her camera underneath the boardwalk (or so we thought). So Isabella (me) and Rosalina climbed down into the jungle (high grass and PROBABLY poison ivy and snake nest...and we looked for it on our hands and knees... we looked for ten minutes in the jungle (under the board walk) when Jasmine proclaims "OH MY GAWD, I found it...!!" And whaddya know it was two feet away from us in a pile of high grass. Thank you Jasmine. We still love you though.

Jasmine: white button down shirt, seventies-style jean shorts, big wood bead creme necklace, brown heels.

Rosalina: white jean shorts that I, Rosalina, cut one day because they were originaly pants but i had nothing to wear so i cut them ha. A blue tank with a lacy top part, and an adorable denim vest that not many people like anymore, but I will always!!

Isabella: black Cheap Monday skinnies, black booties from Payless (I'm a bargain shopper), white tee tucked into jeans, vintage blue scarf, vintage head band.

Our First Photo Shoot!

Today we all went to the park...we got dressed up at Rosalina's house, and did our hair and makeup. We went on the park boardwalk and took turns modeling, posing, and taking pictures of eachother in our outfits that described eachother's styles (or at least what we felt like wearing today.) The actual pictures of us will be posted soon, but here is some background pictures of our setting for today's shoot!

Our shoot's accessories that make up the preparation for the shoot and the outfits! It's a preview to our outfits haha!

After the photo shoot we went back to Rosalina's house! We made ourselves dinner! With four courses!

Our dinner was soo good! We all made it...well I helped a little... I provided the soundtrack to our meal...and made part of the macarronni and cheese...Rosalina did the desserts, part of the macarronni, and the salad...and so did Jasmine!
Today was a great day... spent with my best friends!

Today was my first boat ride! I was immediatly swept away with the smell of the water, look of the waves, sound of the engine, and just the beauty of the sun beating down on me (giving me a perfect natural bronzer). It was a total area of bliss, peace, and serenity. The sight was breathtaking, the fashion was not. Our boating fashion consisted of flip-flops (which I'm completely tired of beat cheap looking ones), tank tops, and the ever so boring jean shorts...so I made my own dream boating outfit inspired by my first boating experience.

Ugh today school was full of cliched cheapy flip-flops! And sundresses! Which I often find this to be my wardrobe considering how comfy it is! There were a couple of outfits to catch my eye though.

"Italian Bio Boy"-black, rolled up to elbows, collared, button down shirt, with white bermudas, and tan flip flops (cliche flip flops, but not cheap looking) very resort style

"Random Mystery Hall Girl"-high fashion, empire waist, big black/white polka dot dress (not cutesy and littlekidish, but very grown up polka dots, silver ballet flats

My style award would go to "Italian Bio Boy"...it's not too often in my school I guy dresses for sucess!

Hey!! Rosalina-Raine here... Do you know the two actresses I absolutely adore?

They are both so amazing and are beautiful in different ways.

The first is, Hayden Panettiere, who is 19 years old, and has already been in soooo many different movies that you most likely have heard of. She has also modeled for a bunch of magazines and has been in hundreds of photo shoots.... Oh my goodness that's my dream right there. Hayden has been in, "Bring It On" (one of my favorite movies!!), Ice Princess, Raising Helen (another one of my favorites!!), Remember the Titans and like a thousand more... She also stars in the show "Heros" which was my favorite show, but now i guess it's not on anymore :( I also like her because she is a vegetarian, just like me!! So thats kind of cool that we have that in common!! Can you guess who my next favorite actress is?? Well probably not, because she's a lot different than Hayden.

It is Jennifer Garner, she is so amazing and she is the best actress I know of... she has played so many different roles and she has managed to fit each one perfectly. One of the movies she was in is called "Elektra", if you have not seen it, rent it, like now, it's sooo good and she was amazing. She made her character real and put forth so much emotion to really make her role come alive. In the movie "13 Going On 30" she was a totaly different character. You wouldn't even believe that the same woman played each of these totally diverse roles.

Okay those are my two favorite actresses... now I want to know yours!! comment me! Also take the pole on who you like better Hayden, or Jennifer!!!

Lazy Day

Everyone has lazy days... today was one of those days... I woke up and decided wow I don't feel like wearing makeup today...so I didn't. Haha. Wow is all I have to say. I think I look so bad without makeup...why did I do it? And I threw on a pair of soft, cotton, bermuda shorts and a blue American Eagle tee that says Up Up And Away...I'm a fashion blogger...and today my outfit was completely uninspiring! haha just one of those days I guess!

I was suprised in school today to find that I didn't see very cliche clothing, or as teen voguers would say "aberzombies". It was actually pretty "high fashion" or at least as high fashion as school can get! haha

Who will win our style awards today?

Hmmm... here are the candidates.

"Typical RaRa" - today Typical Rara was straying outside her usual box of abercrombie, hollister, american eagle, clothing and wore a green tea colored tee, with short khacki shorts, a brown leather braided belt around her waist, tan flipflos, a lime green prada bag (which didn't go, but she wears it every day), and accessorized with a muted green/orange/blue/very autumn colored scarf. Her hair was in a bun with a few whispys and side bangs. Her ensemble as a whole was very refined, but really beautiful. I really liked the scarf. It was pretty huge, but pretty high fashion.
"Tall Girl" - We all know that many tall people usually can't handle the "giantism" approach of wearing high heels. That's why i was inspired to see our "Tall Girl" wearing a pair of high heels today that went perfectly well with her outfit...but making me have to look up to her to speak to her :)
"Brilliant Bangs" - Today "Brilliant Bangs" was wearing a super cute polka dot, sailor heel that was just soo cute I had to make her a candidate!
"Unique" - "Unique" today had my personal favorite outfit on. She wore a striped, navy and white, shortsleeved blouse, with a crocheted dark blue dress/vest over the top worn as a dress, black tights, black grey striped legwarmers with buttons on the side, black patent bow wedge heels with studs on them, and a black patent belt. She looked amazing. I couldn't stop stealing glances at her outfit during class. She probably thought i was some sort of freakish stalker.
"The Ultimate Mean Girl Plastic" - She never has anything nice to say, but she does have great shoes. With her tan skin this pair of patent black leather strappy flat sandles complemented her skin perfectly. Props to the plastic.
"French Girl" - She speaks French fluently...which is sweet. She wore a black dress today with white creme flowers at the bottom, the top part of the dress addorned with three gold buttons, black leggings, black flip-flops (our school is full of flip-flops!), and the cliched but still cute patchwork Kathy Von Zeeland patchwork bag.

Who is your vote to today's most fashionable? You be the judge.

My vote lies in "Unique" and in "French"

take that 10 pounds away fast with these easy steps!

After the long winter season I'm sure we ALL have gained a few unwanted pounds. While we try the diets, programs, the counting of points and if you're on the zone, you may just want a quick and simple way to look 5-10 pounds lighter during this spring season. All you have to do is find some tips on the list below, and apply them when you are picking out your clothes in the morning.

1. Find something that accentuates your wanted curves and gets rid of the unwanted ones.

2. If your problem areas occur around your thighs, i suggest an empire waist cut will look amazing on you. They will really make your problem areas invisible to the people around you.

3. If your problem area is in your arms, it would no be the best thing to do to wear tanks, and tube tops, these will add ten pounds to your body. Wear a nice dress or shirt that has flowy fabric around the arms.

4. If your problem area is in your calfs, wear a knee length skirt, and make sure it's no shorter or longer than you knee. Add a cute heel that will make you look thinner while pointing out your sexy side.

5. When some people think they are a bit more heavy than others they tend to hide under clothing. Instead of hiding the problems, it just makes your figure look bigger. This goes the same way when things are too tight. Just because you picked out a size XS it DOES NOT mean you are an ex, and wouldn't you rather have somthing look flattering than look like your squishing into your baby sister's shirt?

6. V-neck shirts will flatter a big bust. This type of shirt will draw the "illusion torso", which will make you seem thinner.

7. Wear a darker color, like brown, black, burgundy, and dont wear too many different colors and patterns.

8. Make sure you wear lots of accessories like belts, and long thin necklaces and remember to have fun with your wardrobe!!

9. If you wear long stockings it will seem like you have longer, thinner legs and if you dress it up with a heel it will add on so much more funk with your new long thin legs!!

Remember this is your body, embrace it. Take some helpful advice to elongate that leg and subtract 10 pounds to make you feel comfortable in your own skin! If you have any comments, PLEASE leave me a comment on anything!

The Nude Lip * My favorite makeup tip!

Heyy this is Isabella Clarisse here, and I wanted to post about my new favorite lip trick!

I love the nude lip seen a lot lately in this year's and last year's fashion shows. I like this because it is a perfect complement to a really dark dramatic eye..

First, rub in some lighter concealer or foundation. If you want a less dramatic lip rub on a tone of concealer or foundation one shade darker than your skin.

Next, right before this dries completely dab on some powder foundation the color of your skin or lighter or darker depending on the intensity of lip color you want.

I like to add a sheer lip gloss to the top of it. Or a gold speckled gloss. I think it adds a nice touch.

Complement your new nude lip with a very dramatic eye... maybe some sweeping eyeliner Amy Winehouse style?

Wear it intense as these runway models do...

Or tone it down a bit for everyday wear.

I prefer the happy medium!

Agyness Deyn...Isabella Clarisse's favorite model...vs. Kate Moss...Rosalina Raine's favorite model. Agyness' style more funky and eccentric... Kate Moss' style more put together, sexy, and refined, but in a funky way. Who do you think has the best personal style? Please leave your comments!

Kate Moss in a really hott, tomboyish outfit. "I love the feminine casualty of a shirt style intended for a man," says Rosalina.

And Agyness Deyn in a colorful, funky outfit. "I love the mix of black and neon colors! And how she embraces the funkyness of the outfit in her pose," says Isabella.

Rosalina says, "I love how even when Kate Moss goes out even out on a walk or out shopping she is always looking fabulous in unique clothing, many people can't pull of an outfit all of one print like the black and white leopard print coat."

Isabella says, "Agyness' style! She pulls off the funky look, but here she shows how she can also look feminine and more refined. My favorite part of this outfit is the purple bag and scarf."

Rosalina says,"This picture of Kate Moss at the Alexander McQueen show is amazing. The hologram makes it seem like your not just in a fashion show, but in a dream. Rosalina, our beauty expert, says "The makeup is so inspirational itself. Makeup doesn't need to be put together with a certain outfit to make an ensemble fashionable, makeup is a fashion in itself. You can have a simple headshot and it can reveal your entire style in one snap-shot. Makeup can accentuate facial features that may not be as prominent on your face and embrace the features you do have for example, in this picture of Kate Moss her cheekbones are accentuated. With a simple headshot of a great look, you can be inspired to influence your own personal style. Make-up is a very expressive thing... it shows and accentuates your feelings when there are no words to. For example, in this picture of Agyness Deyn, she looks so sad, likes shes almost it tears... it mixes so well with facial expressions its easy to mix them up. Also, in this picture I love how kates facial position is posed to be perfectly shadowed, to accentuate her strong facial features."

Isabella, our not so beauty expert, says "I love Agyness Deyn's makeup in this picture. She looks like a beautiful lady.
