From A Distance

Ughhhhhhhh I've never said this before, but I totally regret going to the mall tonight. No good clothes came out of the shopping trip and I had a mediocre greasy fattening meal at Fridays. Oh and my best friend and I aren't talking to eachother! It was bad, but last night I did have a successful shopping trip! All my purchases from Forever 21. I'm wondering what everyone elses' forever 21's look like. We just got a new one installed in our mall. It's ginormous and it's two stories!!! It's made up of around ten rooms, each room has it's own style/personality/decorating. It's pretty freaking amazing. I bought a shirt and some silver rings. I also bought a pair of leggings that look like pants, but they are too small :(

Oh can't forget the shirt I bought at Charlotte Rousse!
Pictures to come later.
I'm sorry about any spelling errors, I've just had a frustrating night haha.

These are the comfiest jeans on the planet. Lux from Urban Outfitters.

These are the most uncomfortable earrigns on the planet.

Believe me this was not today. Today I would not be smiling. Grrrrr (scowl face)

Mr. Posen will you please marry me?

From a Distance
From a distance the world looks blue and green,
and the snow-capped mountains white.
From a distance the ocean meets the stream,
and the eagle takes to flight.

From a distance, there is harmony,
and it echoes through the land.
It's the voice of hope, it's the voice of peace,
it's the voice of every man.

From a distance we all have enough,
and no one is in need.
And there are no guns, no bombs, and no disease,
no hungry mouths to feed.

From a distance we are instruments
marching in a common band.
Playing songs of hope, playing songs of peace.
They're the songs of every man.
God is watching us. God is watching us.
God is watching us from a distance.

From a distance you look like my friend,
even though we are at war.
From a distance I just cannot comprehend
what all this fighting is for.

From a distance there is harmony,
and it echoes through the land.
And it's the hope of hopes, it's the love of loves,
it's the heart of every man.

In Like a Lion (always winter)

The Amber boot by Jessica Simpson that I got in tan for Christmas were featured in NYLON!! I was catching up on my last issue of NYLON, and they were in there! haha. I always think it's cool when I see something I own featured in a magazine.

This is the new blazer I bought at Macy's the other day with my friend!
The blazer was on clearance and is a wonderful green/red plaid... with the cutest buttons.

Please excuse the picture of my man shoulders.

Frosty the Snowman (Fiona Apple)

I've never really been a fan of the traditional Christmas songs, but instead I fill my holiday playlists and ipod with the remakes of the origionals done by today's hit artists. My favorites of this season.

1. Someday at Christmas by Jack Johnson
2. Frosty the Snowman by Fiona Apple
3. River by Sarah Mclachlan
4. Baby It's Cold Outside by Zooey Deschanel and Leon Redbone
5. Mistletoe by Colbie Caillat

Here's Part Two of my Active Endeavors Wishlist.

1. The Judy skirt by Julie Haus. Throwing on a nice substantial skirt in the winter is such an easy outfit. All you need is the skirt and a pair of black tights. This looks so warm, and I love the slouchy pockets.

2. The Jacquard ALine Dress by Tibi. Metallics are always great for the holiday season. This one is nice because it isn't the usual silver/gold holiday color scheme.

3. LBD the Jacson dress by Leyendecker.

4. Lovely dress. Reminds me of a refined court jester. It's the Block dress by leyendecker in magritte.

5. I like this LBD, but I don't think it would fit me very well.

6. There's not much you can say about this. Long Sleeve V-Neck James Perse.

7. I'm a little iffy on this one. I really like the style dress, but I don't know about the metallic...

8. I might just die for this. The Poiret from James Jeans.

9. The marriner coat from James Jeans. The color is gorgeous, and the buttons are so nice. I wish I could get my mother into a coat like this.

10. Swallow earrings by Made Her Think. Birds are so fascinating.

11. The lovely, dramatic back to the Sophia dress by Scarlette & O.

The color is soo pretty. (front)

12. Selina dress by Julie Brown.

13. Zip drainpipe by work custom shop.

14. I haven't owned a dress with tulle since I was in the fourth grade, but this one is very pretty. The tulle party dress by Seven For All Mankind.

15. I'm not too sure about this dress, I like the electric blue belt with the black of the dress, but the dress just seems too boring.

16. This, I might just buy. Ten skirt by Quail.

17. Zipper Back Top by Rory Beca (back) Usually, exposed zippers are black/silver. This is a refreshing unique change.

What am I going to do with all the snow! All blogger friends welcome to borrow the snow!

My Dear Aquaitence

Although I rarely ever buy anything, I've always loved shopping on-line. I guess you could call it window shopping! I look, but barely ever buy. It gives a good idea of what I want for shopping trips. It makes everything a lot easier. I hope everyone's holiday is going well.

Here is part one of my Active Endeavor's wishlist.
1. The Arundel moto hoodie jacket from ever. I am in love with the dark grey color, and the tough zippers running through it.

2. Alice everyday top by Julie Haus.

3. The Bow kimono top by Mk2k.

4.I have been in dire need of just a plain pair of pants. These brown boot cut trousers by Seven for All Mankind would be perfect.

5. I fell in love with this dress. It's the blossom dress by Quail. Here is the back of it.

5. The front of the above dress.

6. Crosby janeta dress in mascara color from Jill Stuart

7. I need some new funky cardigans. This one is just nice. It's the cardigan sweater by Rory Beca.

8. Gershwin Dress by Julie Haus (she had great stuff on this website)

9. This is so classic. I love it. The Garbo leopard jacket in Tobacco by What Goes Around Comes Around

10. One of my favorites on the list. It's the Frances Baker dress by Lorick Back. I love the colors. The electric blue stripe down the back(shown here) is lovely.

10. The front of the dress.

Part two of the list to come later!

Brit Spears: "I try to avoid situations in my past that might threaten me.
Interviewer: "How do you do that?"
Brit Spears: "I go through life like a karate kid."

If you haven't seen the Brit documentary film yet. You have to watch it. I wasn't expecting to get anything out of it, but I did. She's actually a sensible, reasonable, talented, loving person. I've now seen it twice!

Have a great week everyone.
I hope y'all are staying warm.

YUMMY

Is this not adorable. It's from a baby shower over the summer.

Baby Shower outfit. My black cheap mondays are sooo skinny i can barely fit in them. It doesn't help that they are about a size too small, but by far my favorite pair of pants I wear. I can wear them in MANY different ways.

So the other day I stayed home from school because I was sick. I flipped through some channels and decided to watch a movie, "Children of Men." I wasn't expecting much, but the movie was RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. Basically, the world has gone to peices. There is crime, fighting, death, starvation, everything bad that you can imagine is happening all over. Also, infertility has taken over the women, meaning the extinction of the human race. Until, Theo, the main character, helps a young girl, Kee, escape to safety because she is pregnant. The movie is very well made, the script fantastic, and the filming done very well. At one point, during a battle scene, blood from a gun shot is sprayed up and onto the camera lens. This isn't something I have ever seen done in a movie before, and it really felt scarily real. I highly reccomend this movie.

Happy Xmas War is Over! (according to the song)

Ughhh many bloggers are complaining about how their town's/city's have NO SNOW!!! I just want to inform everyone that SNOW IS NOT THAT GREAT! Okay, so sure it can be gorgeous dusting the treetops or the floor all in white. But, the cold, wet, gross, shoe ruining, pant leg ruining, freezing, slippery mess that comes with it is nothing but, well a mess. Ahhh, but I will sympathize with y'all, and just stick with it's pretty appearance.

Now that I'm finished complaining. Here's some past photos of the White Tie and Tiara Ball.

I love when Kirstin Dunst does this with her hair. She looks so beautiful here. I think she has such a unique look, like her teeth! Where has she been lately?

I love this ball because most of the ladies, look like Princesses.

And if your Aggy you just look incredibly fresh/hip as always.

I'm guessing this dress had mixed reviews due to it's "unique" color with the black lace, but I think it's lovely. Plus, it's Mischa.

Beautiful, and classy.

I made this Polyvore a few months ago! I forgot about it for awhile, but I really love certain items in it.

Are You Happy Now by www.tasteoffashion.blogspot.com

I bought these Jessica Simpson moccasin/fir boots from Macy's. But, they're a Christmas present so I can't wear them until the twenty fifth, but they will be on my feet that day! I don't really care for this color, mine are a lighter tan.
